Lifelong friends

Generally at two years of age, children enjoy playing with other children around them, but at this age they are on the cusp of developing social relationships that are empathetic, loyal and self-guided.

We help nurture and develop friendship skills that encourage mutual sharing and understanding in friendship groups that serve them well as they develop friendships into preschool and throughout the rest of their schooling.

Ready for (pre)school

While our pre-schoolers participate in a program that gets them ready for kindergarten, we similarly recognise the importance of getting our 2-3 year olds ready for preschool.

We do this by exploring the idea of preschool through learning and play activities, familiarisation experiences with the preschool, located in the same centre and working with families to understand any worries or emotions that children may be associating with the move to preschool.

Learn & Play

Studies have shown that play is important to healthy brain development and a key aspect of learning through experiencing.

At two years of age, children are achieving important milestones and it is important that the caregivers that surround them are supported of learning through play.

We provide an environment where play is self-driven so children can discover their own interests and limitations, relationships with others and the experience the playground and the natural environment on their own terms.

Small, nurturing environment

We know the value of a small, nurturing environment in early education. We have specifically planned spaces for two-year olds that maximise their developmental milestones, engagement and general wellbeing.

Our spaces encourage the development of positive relationships between children and educators and welcomes engagement with families. Our educators’ meaningful interactions with children encourage them to explore and learn through play and develop one-on-one trusting and caring connections.
