St Joseph’s Family Services thanks families for valuable survey feedback

St Joseph’s Family Services is grateful to the families who participated in its recent feedback survey, which gathered insights from parents and caregivers across all three of its early education centres (St Agnes’ Early Education Centre, St Joseph’s Preschool & Long Day Care, and Joey’s House Early Education Centre).

Executive Manager of Early Education, Heather Mayne, said the survey results will be instrumental in shaping the service’s continuous improvement efforts.

“The information we gained from families through this survey is so important,” Ms Mayne said. “By sharing the results, we want our families to know we are listening and are keen to improve what we do.”

The survey revealed a strong sense of trust and satisfaction among families, with many respondents praising the dedication, warmth, and professionalism of the educators and staff. Parents highlighted the nurturing environments, engaging learning programs, and the genuine care shown to their children.

“It was very heartening, especially for our staff, to receive so many lovely, positive comments.” added Heather.

The survey also provided constructive feedback, with families offering thoughtful suggestions on areas for improvement.

“We received some great suggestions for ways we can do things even better around things like access to our centres, morning drop-off routines and interactions; supporting school readiness and transition; insect protection; food and menus; play equipment and outdoor resources; communication and information sharing, among other things,” says Heather.

“The feedback is already being used to inform planning and service enhancements. For example, we have already begun trialling a suggestion to share non-critical incident forms with parents online using our communication app, Xplor.”

St Joseph’s Family Services is committed to maintaining open lines of communication with families. While a follow-up survey is planned for September, the team also welcome feedback at any time.

“In a world where everyone is busy, knowing that parents and caregivers are engaged and willing to take the time to give feedback is so valuable to us,” says Heather.

St Joseph’s Family Services is not for profit and remains dedicated to providing high-quality early education and care, and thanks all families for their ongoing support and trust.
