Fifty years ago, responding to the needs of the community, Fr Leo Donnelly was the visionary behind St Joseph’s Preschool commencing operations in the Catholic Parish Hall. St Joseph’s Family Services started with a clear purpose, to provide high-quality childcare services to families in need in our local community of Port Macquarie. We started small, and with a lot of hard work, dedication, and a team of passionate individuals, we grew into one of the most respected childcare providers in Port Macquarie.

Over the years, we have been given the privilege and responsibility of caring for thousands of children and watching them grow, learn, and develop into the remarkable individuals they are today. We have also worked with countless parents, carers and families supporting them as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising children. We have built a team of caring professionals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our families. And we have developed services and spaces where children can feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn.

As we celebrate this milestone, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been a part of our journey. To our staff, thank you for your hard work and commitment to our mission. To the families we serve, thank you for entrusting us with your precious children and to St Agnes’ Catholic Parish, thank you for believing in us and your unwavering support.
